Stop Childhood Obesity

Georgia has launched a Stop Childhood Obesity ad campaign to educate the state with the 2nd highest rate of childhood obesity in the US. They recently launched the first of a three-part series of back and white billboards and You Tube videos that some say are doing more harm than good to children.

The billboards feature overweight children and phrases like “Chubby kids may not outlive their parents,” and “Big bones didn’t make me this way. Big meals did.”

  1. I think using the line “don’t sugar coat it” is very clever. i think education is always helpful and believe this campaign is a great way to educate the population.
