All this week I will be posting homemade snack ideas for you and your little ones.
Todays’s snack recipe is… Apple Chips.
They are so easy to make and a great healthy snack.
Make sure you plan to be home for a couple of hours. They are easy to prepare but have to bake at a low temperature for about 2 hours.
What you’ll need :
1. Preheat oven to 250°
2. Slice apples very thin and lay them out on parchment lined baking sheets
3. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon (mine could have done with a little less I think) If you want them a little sweeter, mix cinnamon and sugar together and lightly dust.
4. Bake for 2 hours flipping half way through*
* It might be a good idea to cook for 1 hour flip then set the timer again for less than an hour to check on them. The cooking time will vary depending on how thin the apples are sliced.
