Energy Balls

Here is the long over-due energy ball recipe. True to their name, they are energy (calorie) dense, but still a much healthier option than many processed snack alternatives.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 3/4 cup toasted shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup flax seed meal
  • 1/4 cup wheat germ

Directions:

  1. place all ingredients together in large bowl
  2. mix until combined and clumpy
  3. with clean hands, roll small balls together
  4. place on parchment paper or a plate
  5. transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge
